Thanksgiving finds the destitute Wiggs family in a rundown shack, husband missing. Miss Lucy brings a feast; her boyfriend Bob gets the sick boy to a hospital, but he dies. Miss Mazy courts Mr. Stubbins, who agrees to marry after tasting her cooking with Mrs. Wiggs’ help. Mr. Wiggs returns with twenty dollars to stop foreclosure, and Miss Lucy and Bob wed.
