World War I, an oddly ark‑shaped mansion hosts a lavish gathering of family and friends who dance, drink and quote literature, echoing Shaw’s anti‑war play Heartbreak House. Intercut footage of starving African children, scenes of Shaw’s daily life, and a corpse revived on an autopsy table shatters idyll, while anachronistic music underscores paradox.
