As the echoes of battle fade, the Millennium and Archangel ships reunite, their interiors filled with joyful camaraderie among old friends. Something deeper, however, lurks beneath the smiles, as Kira’s troubled countenance reveals an internal battle of her own. Turning to Lacus Clyne, who orchestrated the founding of COMPASS along with Kira, we witness her grappling with the burdens of leadership. A simple dinner intended to rekindle their connection falls flat when Kira calls to cancel, citing burgeoning pack dynamics.

That night, Kira returns late to find Lacus peacefully sleeping on the couch, having waited for him. The Freedom endures heavy damage as the Black Knights’ superior technology thwarts their beam weapons.

In a tense moment, Shinn’s SEED mode activates, granting him the power to hold off the Black Knights temporarily, yet he soon finds himself under siege.
