The opening installment of a five‑part Musashi saga follows Shinobu and her brother Genichiro as they plead with the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto to teach them swordsmanship so they can avenge their father’s death. Their attackers see them training, hire the famed rival Kojiro Sasaki, and give him a reason to challenge Musashi in duel.
