In the mist‑kissed hills of Ooty, the world of Priya feels both intimate and expansive. A bright student at the Lawrence School, she is known for her warm spirit, love of singing, and deep devotion to the church. From an early age she has dreamed of entering a convent, a calling that sets her on a path that diverges sharply from the expectations of her family and the bustling life of the town.

Her father, the widowed industrialist Amalraj, runs Amalraj Garments and envisions a more conventional future for his only daughter—one that might involve the family business or an arranged marriage within the familiar circles of their community. Across the street, the rival family of James Thangadurai adds an undercurrent of old‑fashioned rivalry that subtly colors daily interactions. Into this mix returns Thomas Thangaduri, a Harvard‑educated scholar who has come back to Ooty to oversee his father’s affairs. Childhood acquaintances rekindle, and Thomas finds himself drawn to Priya in a way that threatens to tilt both of their carefully balanced worlds.

Desperate to keep Priya on her chosen spiritual course, Thomas turns to his charismatic friend Deva, a confident hairstylist with a knack for influencing hearts. Deva, together with his loyal companion Guru—a blind, aspiring musician—offers a lively, musical counterpoint to the convent’s solemnity, inviting Priya into a world of song and camaraderie. The film balances the serene, devotional atmosphere of the hill station with bright, playful moments of friendship and artistic ambition, setting the stage for a tender tug‑of‑war between love, duty, and the pursuit of one’s true self.
