As the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team up with Bulk and Skull for a charity skydive aimed at supporting the Angel Grove observatory, excitement builds with the impending approach of Ryan’s Comet. However, a mishap leads Bulk and Skull to inadvertently land at a construction site, where they discover an enormous purple egg that sends shockwaves through the team. Responding to this alarming situation, Zordon calls upon the Rangers and reveals the dark backstory of Ivan Ooze, a wicked entity who ruled Earth 6,000 years prior and was imprisoned by Zordon and a group of young warriors.

With the clock ticking, Zordon dispatches the Rangers to retrieve the egg and return it to its hyper-lock chamber. However, they are outpaced by the devious trio of Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, and Goldar, who manage to shatter the egg, freeing Ivan Ooze from his long, slumber. As they confront this formidable adversary, he retaliates by unleashing an army of Oozemen, which the Rangers successfully fend off. Unfortunately, Ivan manages to breach the Command Center, leaving Zordon vulnerable and stripping the Rangers of their powers. As Zordon begins to age outside of his time warp, the urgency of their mission heightens.

To save Zordon, Alpha 5 sends the Rangers on a daring journey to the planet Phaedos, seeking the legendary Great Power. Meanwhile, on the Moon, a defeated Rita initially laments her inability to conquer the Rangers, only for Ivan to assert his dominance by encasing her and Lord Zedd in a snow globe while robbing them of their authority. Ivan commences to construct his own army of hypnotized workers, manipulating children into unknowingly spreading the mind-controlling Ooze to their parents.

As the Rangers traverse Phaedos, they are unaware that their ally, Fred Kelman, has stumbled upon Ivan’s malevolent plans. Just when hope seems to fade, they are saved by Dulcea, the Master Warrior of Phaedos, who warns them of the dangers lurking nearby. Despite her initial insistence for them to leave, Dulcea agrees to guide them upon learning about Zordon’s dire condition. She leads them to an ancient temple that holds secrets critical to unlocking the mighty Ninjetti power. Each Ranger awakens their inner animal spirit: Aisha unites with the bear, Rocky becomes the ape, Billy transforms into the wolf, Kimberly channels the crane, Adam connects with the frog, and Tommy takes flight as the falcon. However, Dulcea reveals a heartbreaking truth—if she leaves the temple, her own aging would accelerate, threatening her vitality. In a selfless act, she shapeshifts into an owl, maintaining her youthful appearance while guiding the Rangers through their arduous trials.

Navigating the temple tests their resolve as they confront daunting challenges, including an ancient dinosaur skeleton and the fearsome Stone Gargoyle guardians. Harnessing their newfound abilities, they successfully retrieve the cherished Great Power, thereby restoring their iconic Ranger suits. Meanwhile, chaos ensues back on Earth as Ivan’s Ecto-Morphicons rise up, throwing Angel Grove into disarray while he commands parents to walk off the edge of the construction site. Undeterred, Fred rallies Bulk, Skull, and their fellow kids to save their parents from Ivan’s sinister grasp.

In a climactic battle, the Power Rangers summon their animal-themed Ninja Zords. Although initially overwhelmed by Ivan’s powerful Ecto-Morphicon, Scorpitron, they eventually unite their Zords to form the formidable Ninja Megazord and later the mighty Ninja Mega Falconzord. As the epic confrontation unfolds, the children, spearheaded by Fred, Bulk, and Skull, work to combat Ivan’s mind-controlled parental puppets, ultimately liberating them from his evil influence. The Rangers then cunningly ensnare Ivan, leading to a dramatic climax where Ryan’s Comet obliterates him, breaking his grip over the parents and reuniting families across the town.

In the aftermath, the mood shifts to somber as the Rangers mourn Zordon’s death, yet their spirits remain resolute. Utilizing the Great Power, they restore the Command Center and resurrect Zordon, returning him to safety within his time warp. As a grand celebration unfolds at Angel Grove Harbor in honor of the Power Rangers’ valor, complete order is restored, closing this exhilarating chapter of their saga.

In a humorous mid-credits scene, Goldar lounges on Zedd’s throne, only to be thrown into a frenzy by the sudden return of Rita and Zedd.
