In 2046 China, the government creates K1, the first cybernetic police officer with a sophisticated social conscience. Deployed to a remote village, K1 earns the locals’ trust, performing every duty flawlessly—except when fellow officer Su Mei falls in love with the cyborg, a feeling its programming forbids.
