A little talent can be a dangerous thing. Down‑and‑out lounge singer Johnny Slade is hired by a mysterious patron to launch a trendy new club, but each night he is forced to perform a brand‑new, awful song. He soon notices a crime follows each performance, revealing that his unseen songwriter is actually a powerful mob boss who uses the songs as coded orders for his crew. Johnny must decide whether to keep singing or risk everything to stop the killings.
