After meeting at the police station following separate assaults by the same perpetrator, two women named Mary find themselves navigating the complex and challenging system designed to support victims of sexual assault. A police constable and his colleague offer guidance as the story unfolds, while the Furies – a spectral chorus of murdered women – observe and comment on the proceedings. The film balances a dark and difficult subject matter with moments of humor and wit.
