In a modest Serbian town where the rhythm of daily life is set by the hum of mining machinery, a seasoned engineer arrives to oversee the installation of heavy equipment. Jan Rudinski quickly finds himself drawn into the town’s close‑knit circle when a chance encounter at the barbershop leads him to Rajka, the bright‑eyed hairdresser who offers him a room in her parents’ home.
