A seafaring father, teetering on the brink of sanity, intermittently encounters his young son. In these fleeting reunions he spins tales—both exotic and familiar—about the mythical realm of Magonia, where clouds symbolize impossible dreams and unfulfilled wishes. Strangely, the inhabitants of this imagined world closely resemble people near him.
