Lorna's Silence

Lorna, a young Albanian immigrant in Belgium, finds herself trapped in a sham marriage with Claudy, a drug addict. Her life is a constant struggle as she juggles her desire for a better future and the burdens of her current situation.

Desiring to start a snack bar with her true love, Sokol, Lorna agrees to enter into a fake marriage with a Russian man to gain financial security. This decision is orchestrated by Fabio, a petty criminal who manipulates her into this precarious situation.

Under pressure from Fabio, Lorna is pushed to eliminate Claudy through an overdose. Despite her initial agreement, she witnesses Claudy's struggle against addiction and becomes conflicted about following through with the deadly plan.

To expedite her divorce from Claudy, Lorna resorts to self-harm, convincing others of Claudy's abusive nature. After several attempts, she finally secures her divorce just as Claudy is released from the hospital.

Feigning a need for a restroom break, Lorna trickily leads Spirou into the woods. There, she takes her chance to fight back, successfully escaping from the clutches of her captor.
