A heavily sweating man returns from a long trip and calls from his car, expecting his wife but his daughter Lisette answers. She talks about a drawing while he repeatedly asks to speak with his wife, as if it might be their last conversation. Lisette drags her mother out of the backyard as the sound of an approaching ambulance grows louder. When his wife finally gets on the line, their brief exchange centers on his flight and her urging him to return soon, leaving the circumstances ambiguous.
