Set in 1980, the Ethiopian Falasha community is officially recognized as Jews and arranged for clandestine immigration to Israel. When a Jewish mother’s son dies the day before departure, she substitutes him with a 9‑year‑old Christian boy, names him Schlomo, and sends him on the secret transport, confronting questions of faith, identity, and belonging.
