When his father dies suddenly, nine‑year‑old Macius inherits the throne and the heavy duties of a king. Though eager to reshape the world and reject things he dislikes, he faces constant sabotage from the scheming General. Fortunately, loyal friends aid him in his reign. The animated film, based on the German series and Janusz Korczak’s book “King Matt the First,” follows his youthful struggle to rule wisely.
