In the isolated Texas backwoods, Ray maintains a normal outward life while his psychotic temper and violent control over Jimmy fester behind closed doors. Doris enters the warehouse where Kate hides and then kills Kate with cold resolve. The killing consolidates Doris's pursuit of justice and tears the already fractured family apart. The boys emerge from hiding, bewildered and exposed.
