Tommie, a young Manhattaner stuck handing out flyers in Times Square, learns from a friend that he’s heading to Provincetown for a weekend. Inspired, Tommie plunges into a summer trek to the Cape, chasing a “Mr. Right” despite having no money and anxiously tapping his American Express. He scrapes together odd jobs—including house‑boy stints at inns—receives unexpected kindness from strangers, and becomes involved with a string of men, all in a chaotic, hopeful search for love and purpose.
