Poor Gaspard finds himself transferred into a cell where three inmates have been secretly plotting a tunnel escape. They enlist him in their risky scheme, and over three days they use a bed‑post to break through the concrete floor and slip into the sewer system, though their freedom remains far from guaranteed.
