Masaya, a university student unhappy with his school, receives a disturbing letter from Haimura, a serial killer convicted of nine murders and sentenced to death. Years prior, when Haimura ran a bakery, Masaya was a middle school student and a customer. The letter contains a confession to eight murders, but Haimura claims innocence regarding the ninth. Driven by this revelation, Masaya begins to investigate the unresolved case and uncover a dark connection to the past.
