Back at the house, the family discovers that the TV and Wi-Fi are not working. They notice a pair of deer staring at them, creating an eerie atmosphere. The lack of connectivity coincides with the beach incident, hinting at a larger crisis unfolding.

George H. ('G.H.') Scott and his daughter Ruth arrive seeking shelter, explaining that a blackout caused their return. Amanda is suspicious of their intentions, but Clay trusts them and allows them to stay overnight. The situation begins to feel increasingly tense and uncertain.

G.H. discovers wreckage of a plane crash on the beach and narrowly escapes another airliner crashing. Ruth and Archie walk in the woods and encounter an empty shed while Archie removes a tick from his ankle. G.H. shares his suspicion that satellite connectivity has been disrupted.

The family attempts to leave for New Jersey but avoids colliding with jammed self-driving Tesla cars on the expressway. They return to G.H.'s house. Ruth asks provocative questions, and the family notices flamingos in the pool, adding to the unsettling environment.
