Deep in debt after gambling, Kin Seng (Leung Ka Fai) convinces his devoted wife May (Lin Ching Hsia) to steal a large sum from her job to rescue him. They travel to Thailand seeking help from his uncle, but find none. On the return ferry, May falls overboard and Kin Seng deliberately murders, dragging them into further tragedy.
