Natsuru is chosen to become a Kampfer, a mystical warrior forced to battle other Kampfers. The twist is that every Kampfer is female, while Natsuru is a boy—at least he was before the transformation. To complicate matters, his close friend suddenly develops a crush on his new female form, leading to awkward and comedic situations.
