A bawdy comic fable set in the mid‑14th‑century Ottoman Empire, it draws on Turkish folklore’s iconic duo—the witty jester Hacivat (Beyazit Ozturk) and the roguish nomad Karagoz (Haluk Bilginer). Their rivalry and mischief drive a humorous tale of two men whose lives were defined by jokes and sharp wit.
