A woman is pursued onto the battlements of Balsorano Castle by a gun‑wielding assailant, slips and plummets to her death. The castle’s eccentric owner, Barbara, who suffers from mental instability, becomes the prime suspect, yet no evidence ties her to the crime and the killings persist. As the mystery deepens, unsettling truths emerge. The film is shot in stark, expressionistic black‑and‑white.
