Kidnapped

Jaime, Marta and their daughter Isa have just moved into a new house, seeking a fresh start. The parents argue about how to raise Isa, hinting at deeper conflicts that will shape what follows. Normal family life quickly collapses as three masked thieves break in.

The three masked thieves reveal themselves, part of the moving crew, and split their roles. Head Thief stays with Jaime while Young Thief and Strong Thief guard Marta and Isa. The home instantly becomes a trap as the intruders take control.

Head Thief drives Jaime miles away to a bank machine and lays down strict rules: no deviations and no alerting anyone. Jaime pleads for help, hoping a bystander will call the police, but the person they speak to misreads the situation and offers money instead. The threat to Marta looms large as the plan hinges on Jaime’s compliance.

From the bank, Head Thief phones the house and orders Strong Thief to do whatever he wants to Marta if Jaime betrays the plan. The warning tightens the grip on the family and escalates the danger inside the home. Marta overhears the coercive exchange, increasing her fear for Isa and herself.

César calls to pick up Isa for their date, but the thieves drag him inside the house. Marta and Isa flee to the basement and lock themselves in a back room, hoping to avoid capture. The men drag César downstairs and threaten to kill him if the women do not open the door.

A security guard comes to the door after neighbors complain about the television; Strong Thief pretends to be Marta’s husband, but when the guard grows suspicious, he slits the guard’s throat. He then launches a brutal attempt to rape Isa, while Marta offers herself to spare her daughter, only to be struck and have her arm broken in the struggle.

Desperate to survive, Isa seizes a statuette and crushes Strong Thief’s head. Young Thief, disgusted by the violence, pulls her away and prevents a gun from being used. He convinces her to stop the immediate bloodshed and then leaves the scene.

Jaime and Head Thief ride in a car, hoping the clock will turn to the next day so money can be withdrawn. Frustrated, Jaime accelerates and crashes into a telephone pole, knocking both men unconscious. When he comes to, he takes Head Thief’s gun and heads back toward the house.

Back at the scene, Jaime returns home and, later, he and Young Thief encounter each other outside the house. Both are too traumatized to continue and Young Thief escapes into the night. The sense of an exhausted, inescapable night hangs over the neighborhood.

Jaime and Isa descend to the basement and release Marta and César, who have been handcuffed together. Jaime hands the gun to Marta and makes a frantic call to the police, hoping for rescue. While he talks, Head Thief returns, turning the situation again into a deadly standoff.

Head Thief storms back into the house and kills Jaime with a sledgehammer. Marta attempts to shoot, but the weapon is taken from her by Head Thief who fires, killing her. The violence intensifies as the intruder asserts control over the house.

César emerges from the basement and is killed by Head Thief, sealing the grim fate of the residents. Isa collapses in shock as Head Thief stabs her mother repeatedly in the stomach, ending the home’s fragile sense of safety and shattering Isa’s world forever.
