Kidnap

Sonia engages in a heated argument with her mother about curfews and her future, just days before she turns 18. She presses Mallika for answers about her father and hints at seeking independence.

That night, Sonia swims far out to sea and is abducted by a man who chloroforms her. He takes her to a secluded cottage with no exits, initiating the central crisis of the story.

The kidnapper calls Mallika the next morning and reveals he will speak only to Sonia's estranged father, Vikrant Raina. He uses the demand to drive a wedge and set up Vikrant's involvement.

Vikrant travels back to India and reunites with Mallika, learning that Sonia has been abducted. He discovers the kidnapper's demand and takes charge of the rescue operation.

Vikrant and detective Irfan embark on the first task: locating Sister Margaret on a train and offering her apology. The encounter yields a poem left by the woman, which becomes a clue in the case.

Sonia remains defiant at first, but gradually understands that her captor's anger stems from years of frustration. She injures him in a failed escape attempt, yet grows to empathize with his backstory.

She realizes the bungalow was once Vikrant’s property and that the captor is someone familiar to her. She uncovers the backstory of a past car accident involving a boy who was imprisoned and abused, helping her understand the motive behind the kidnapper’s actions.

Using the clues he gathers, Vikrant concludes that Kabir Devendra Sharma is the kidnapper, a man he had previously wrongly framed. This revelation reframes the entire case and deepens the moral complexity.

Kabir comes to confront Vikrant, triggering a pursuit that runs through city streets. In the chaos, Vikrant and Irfan intervene and free a prisoner from jail, who turns out to be Kabir’s friend.

Irfan intervenes and shoots Kabir, who has already bid farewell to his friend. An angry Vikrant orders Irfan to stay away from the case.

Despite being gravely wounded, Kabir survives and returns to the bungalow, where Sonia nurses him back to health. Sonia feels guilt for trapping him and chooses to stay rather than escape.

Using the clue Vikrant gets from freeing the prisoner, he locates Sonia at his old bungalow. The next clue requires him to commit a murder at a New Year’s Eve party, pushing him toward a fateful decision.

Vikrant carries out the murder and realizes he has killed Kabir, only for Kabir to reveal that he is alive. The revelation forces Vikrant to confront whether Kabir was a criminal deserving imprisonment or an innocent victim.

The family is finally reunited, and Sonia, Vikrant, Mallika, and Jaya begin to move forward after the ordeal. Kabir reappears at a family gathering to apologize to Sonia and shares that he has started anew, working at a software company.
