Fatih Sultan Mehmet discovers that the province of Mora lacks a ruler, and disorder erupts throughout the region. Rum Kani Pasha accuses the Grand Vizier of causing the unrest, while Kara Murat insists the pasha is merely defaming him to advance his own ambition for the vizierate. Convicted by Murat’s claim, the sultan issues a death warrant against the hero.
