Kaiketsu Zubat, meaning “Extraordinary Zubat” or “Magnificent Zubat,” is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero series that premiered in 1977. Created by Shotaro Ishinomori, the 32‑episode program pays homage to the 1950s style of live‑action heroes while incorporating the aesthetic and pacing of late‑1970s television.
