Sixteen‑year‑old Mari is released after a year’s treatment in juvenile detention. To keep her away from her former gang, authorities send her to work in a dairy shop in Skåne, southern Sweden. She runs away, hitchhiking to Stockholm, where she contacts the gang to find she’s no longer welcome and her boyfriend has moved on with another girl.
