Ibrahim, a bricklayer living in Madrid with Mariama, is unexpectedly deported back to Guinea Conakry after a police arrest due to his lack of a residence permit. Driven by the desire to reunite with Mariama and their soon-to-be-born daughter, he embarks on a perilous journey back to Spain. Crossing Africa, he finds himself in Mount Gurugú, a camp for immigrants near the border of Europe. There, he encounters Aminata, a determined young woman also striving to reach Spain and overcome the physical challenges of crossing the border.
