Set in a barren place with few flowers, the film follows a single tomato from planting, through harvest and sale at a supermarket, to its rot and disposal as trash. It then tracks the waste as it ends up among animals, discarded goods, women and children, revealing the stark contrast between tomatoes, pigs and human beings.
