Inspired by the stories of Polish musicians during the 1930s and 40s, this film follows Robert, a Catholic opera singer, and Rachel, a Jewish violin prodigy, who share a dream of performing together at Carnegie Hall. Their aspirations are shattered by the German invasion of Poland, and Robert embarks on a perilous journey through Nazi Germany, determined to find Rachel amidst the war's devastation. His quest leads him into dangerous territory, facing an uncertain future where he may lose her forever.
