Lando Buzzanca portrays a desperate father‑to‑be determined to secure a male heir, only to discover his wife (Roseanne Podesta) is barren. In a pre‑IVF era they turn to a surrogate, meaning Buzzanca must impregnate her the old‑fashioned way. After a comedic mix‑up with an unattractive but fertile widow, he shifts his attention to a young woman (Gloria Guida) living in an orphanage for unwed mothers, who has already placed an illegitimate child for adoption.
