In the charming town of Millbrook, Connecticut, Casey Carlyle (played by Kim Cattrall), a gifted science enthusiast with a knack for mathematics, embarks on a quest to secure a prized scholarship to Harvard University. To bolster her application, she must showcase a unique summer project that reflects her grasp of physics principles. One fateful day, during an exhilarating figure skating competition alongside her best friend Ann, Casey experiences a moment of inspiration—her long-held passion for ice skating could serve as an exceptional medium to illustrate the concepts of physics.

Fueled by her new passion, Casey diligently applies the scientific laws and algorithms she has mastered to enhance her skating performance. Casey’s mother, Joan Carlyle, begins to grow increasingly worried about her daughter’s declining academic performance and tries to steer her away from this burgeoning passion.
