After a year in a psychiatric clinic, Martine Bressac returns home escorted by her chauffeur Mathias. She is greeted by the twisted gardener Malou and mute servant Adèle, then demands access to her locked private chamber, where the frozen bodies of beautiful girls are displayed like wax figures in terror. With Mathias’s assistance she has just added a prostitute to the collection, and her husband Charles arrives with photographs of a new target – Cécile, the innocent daughter of a diplomat.
