Set in a small Burgenland village in the early 1970s, the film follows a ten‑year‑old boy confronting the taboos of death and sexuality. Traditional comforts from religion and society appear cracked and ineffective, so the child interprets them in his own way. Through his eyes the story offers subtle insightful reflections on growing up in uncertainty.
