Set in 14th‑century Yuan‑ruled China, a century after Return of the Condor Heroes, the tale follows Zhang Wuji, born to a couple whose love is revealed in the opening episodes. He endures adolescent hardships, rises to prominence amid rebel martial‑arts sects, and seeks the fabled Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre, said to grant its wielder rule over the world. Intrigue, love and centuries‑old grudges shape his destiny.
