Klaus Kinski plays a drifter who rides into a town just after a young schoolgirl is fatally struck by an unknown motorcyclist. The girl's parents, aided by locals including a bully who recently clashed with Kinski over a woman, conspire to dispose of him. His sole ally is the woman whose honor he defended, while sabotage to his bike traps him, making clear he is in real danger.
