In the charming town of Sandusky, Ohio, 25-year-old Gypsy Vale (Sara Rue) and her goth companion, 18-year-old Clive Webb (Kett Turton), share a profound connection fueled by their passion for the darker aspects of life. As Gypsy dreams of becoming a renowned singer like her idol Stevie Nicks, she grapples with the conflict of pursuing her ambitions while remaining loyal to her father, Ray (John Doe), in the wake of her mother Velvet’s (Marlene Wallace) mysterious disappearance.

Their journey takes an exciting turn when Clive stumbles upon the Night of a Thousand Stevies event in New York, prompting them to embark on an adventurous road trip. Along the way, they encounter a vibrant array of characters that enrich their narrative. Their journey begins when they pick up Zechariah, a hitchhiker who claims to be escaping the limitations of Amish life. At a rest stop, Clive’s feelings for Zechariah are met with rejection, leaving him embarrassed and prompting him to run away. Meanwhile, Gypsy finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Zechariah, who, contrary to her expectations, expresses his romantic interest in her.

However, their brief encounter blossoms into a night of passion that swiftly spirals into turmoil when Zechariah announces his decision to return home, leaving Gypsy feeling heartbroken and deceived.
