“It’s a dog‑eat‑dog world and there’s never enough dog to go around…” Middle‑class Karli, alcoholic Jane, unemployed Jackie and square Ellen share a flat in Sydney, scraping by. When Karli’s father gives her a modest sum and a ticket to New York, she sees an escape, but the cash vanishes, sparking a final night four friends will never forget.
