Ghost Town

Bertram Pincus, a reclusive dentist in New York City, schedules a routine colonoscopy. Choosing to go under general anesthesia against medical advice, he undergoes the procedure at St. Victor's Hospital. This decision marks the beginning of his unexpected journey.

After the colonoscopy, Pincus leaves the hospital only to discover that he can see and hear ghosts following him on the streets. These individuals are dead and have unfinished business that ties them to their past lives, leading to Pincus' uncomfortable reality.

Pincus soon realizes that the ghosts are in need of his help to fulfill their last requests. Initially resistant, he becomes their unwilling confidant as they swarm him for assistance, creating a series of awkward and humorous encounters.

Among the ghosts is Frank, a former resident of Pincus' building, who specifically seeks out Pincus for help. Frank's request is to prevent his wife, Gwen, from marrying her new boyfriend, someone Frank is adamantly against.

As Pincus tries to fulfill Frank's request, he gets to know Gwen, Frank's widow. The two form a friendship, and despite her ongoing relationship with her boyfriend, they share genuine moments that spark Pincus' developing feelings for her.

Pincus finds himself caught between helping the ghosts and pursuing Gwen. Although they enjoy each other's company, his prickly attitude creates obstacles in their friendship, causing Gwen to hesitate about her feelings.

As Pincus continues to interact with Gwen, he struggles to control his harsh personality traits. He realizes that if he wants to win her heart, he must change for the better, leading to an internal battle of character growth.
