Recorded at Phoenix’s Celebrity Star Theater on July 23, 1978, this program captures George Carlin in the second of his twelve HBO stand‑up specials. It was initially intended as part of a concert‑sketch film titled The Illustrated George Carlin, a project that never materialized. Carlin delivers his trademark humor in bits such as “Death,” “Kids & Parents,” “Newscast #2,” “Time,” and the weather‑report satire “Al Sleet, the Hippy‑Dippy Weatherman.”
