Set in Paris, a group of students prepares a production of a 17th-century play exploring themes of social class and destiny. As rehearsals progress, the lead actress, Lydia, finds herself increasingly drawn to a fellow student, and her personal feelings intertwine with the play’s dramatic narrative. The lines between her stage persona and her own life become blurred, creating a passionate and complex situation.
