Rock & Roll music resonated across the Iron Curtain and throughout Eastern Europe and the USSR, defying Communist efforts to ban it and suppress its influence on youth. For three decades, underground bands and devoted fans craving Western ideals helped contribute to the nonviolent collapse of the Soviet regime. Featuring interviews with presidents, diplomats, spies, and musicians from both East and West, the documentary explores how rock music became a powerful force in ending the Cold War.
