Flying Dagger

Emperor Tsao commissions the Hon brothers to capture Nine-Tails Fox, accusing him of raiding his household and killing many. The Hons accept the job, driven by rivalry with the Fung sisters. This sets the stage for a tense confrontation between rival bounty crews.

The Hons are distracted when Fung Ling and Lam are captured by Never Die and his brothers. The brothers push forward, decapitation and loss of a hand notwithstanding, chasing the Hons toward the Nine-Tails Fox's lair. The pursuit tightens the stakes for both sides.

At the lair, the group discovers Never Die is allergic to glib talk, and they begin speaking glibly to each other as a test. Chung, embarrassed to use glib lines with Lady Fung, instead addresses Nine-Tails Fox in a bold, blunt style. The standoff results in Never Die being trapped and dissolving.

Nine-Tails Fox escapes from the bounty hunters and slips away to Pang Tin-hong's inn, where he becomes involved with numerous courtesans. Flying Cat returns to learn what happened and sees drawings that hint at her husband's affairs. The scene shifts the chase away from the lair toward the inn.

A new wave of bounty hunters, including Western Ace and a transsexual, arrives at Pang Tin-hong's inn. Pang and his wife decide to back the Hons and Fungs, jokingly claiming to be Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui to seal their alliance. The inn becomes a chaotic battlefield with shifting loyalties.

The transsexual delivers a poisoned kiss to Chung, turning him green and infecting him with a toxin. The other bounty hunters fall into disarray as the genre-blending chaos escalates. The infection complicates the plan to trap or defeat their enemies.

Chung tries to bed Lady Fung, but in the process he unintentionally passes the disease to Pang. Pang and his wife fight repeatedly as they contend with the infection and the moral ambiguities of the coveted cure. The fragile alliances begin to buckle under the strain.

While Ling and Lam stand outside, Never Die's severed hand grabs Ling's shoulder, and she thinks it is Lam's and rests her head on his shoulder. Tsao then captures both of them, heightening the sense that a united front is needed against a common foe. The scene sets up a temporary alliance among former rivals.

The Hons, Fungs, Fox, Cat, and Pang join forces with the other bounty hunters to take down their common enemy and rescue Ling and Lam. They pool resources and fight their way against their own factions to save the captives. The collaboration highlights how shared stakes override personal rivalries.

Lady Fung goes into labor and gives birth to a strange fetus that defies normal expectations. The surrounding group treats the birth as a sensational event, mixing incredulity with cautious celebration. The scene hints at an unsettling twist to come.

To everyone's horror, the newborn is revealed to be Never Die, the very presence behind the chaos. The revelation unsettles all the factions, casting a pall over any celebratory plans. The bizarre ending redefines the relationships among the characters.

Despite earlier talk of needing to eat the fetus, the group quickly forgets that idea in the face of the reality before them. They are horrified by the newborn incarnation of Never Die and struggle to process the outcome. The ending leaves the fate of the strange birth unresolved and uneasy.
