In spring 1963, Show Magazine asked J.M. to make a film about the New York art scene, insisting they wanted something “unusual.” He produced a newsreel‑style workprint, but Show executives were angry it omitted any reference to the magazine or DuPont fabrics. After a brief dispute the film was destroyed, and the surviving workprint is reportedly the only existing copy.
