Haiji, once an elite runner, stopped competing after a career‑ending injury. He meets Kakeru, another former top athlete who quit over a personal dispute. Their reunion reignites their passion, and Haiji sets his sights on the legendary Hakone Ekiden relay. To enter, they must assemble a ten‑person team, recruiting eight novices and strangers. Through grueling training they forge deep bonds and a shared belief that they can achieve the impossible together.
