Nina Blackburn, a dedicated sociologist, begins her journey by deciding to create a documentary centered around the influential gangsta rap group N.W.H., which stands for 'Niggaz With Hats.' This project is a pivotal part of her graduate thesis, showcasing her passion for hip hop as a powerful form of expression.

As Nina delves into her project, she meets the members of N.W.H., led by the charismatic Ice Cold. His sharp wit and unfiltered honesty serve as a focal point for the group's art, as they strive to push boundaries within their music and messages.

Nina spends a year exploring the various personalities within N.W.H., observing the dynamics that define their group. Tasty Taste's volatility and Tone Def's extraordinary talent for scratching illustrate the creative tensions that fuel their music and performances.
