Yorkshire writer Kate learns her biological clock is ticking just as her husband leaves. To avoid a financial crisis she takes in car‑dealer Dave, now homeless after her ex‑husband moved in with his new wife. Needing a baby quickly, Kate doubts Dave is the solution, and they can’t agree on a name—he finds Fanny silly, she thinks Elvis unthinkable. Their clash sparks an absurdly romantic comedy.
