Through three interlinked segments—“Cutting Moments,” “Home,” and “Prologue”—the film assembles a stark portrait of contemporary American life, using hidden violence and unsettling cruelty as its palette. Directed by Douglas Buck, it pulls back the curtains on seemingly ordinary households to expose the darkness that often lies beneath the surface.
